Lake Farm is situated near Emu Bay on Kangaroo Island. Our family farm is focused on producing premium free range pork, succulent prime lambs and tasty grain-fed beef.

We are well known for our succulent Free Range Pork, produced as nature intended. Our pork is sold as fresh meat and to quality small goods processors.  We also provide Prime Lamb and Grass-fed Beef to wholesalers and restaurants.

Set on over 2500 acres on Kangaroo Island’s beautiful and pristine North Coast is Lake Farm. The enterprise consists of Pigs, Sheep and Cattle.

We originally began keeping pigs for personal consumption, and then like lots of things on Lake Farm we just kept on getting more.

Our pigs are free to roam and forage in paddocks, soaking up the sun or rolling in wallows when they please. This makes for much happier pigs, hence much tastier pork.

Farm History

Lake Farm derives its name from the two large lakes which flank the farm house. The farm today is over 2200 acres and consists of both high and low lying, gently sloping land which is suited to a variety of primary production pursuits. The farm is 5 minutes from the pristine waters of Emu Bay on the north coast of Kangaroo Island.

The farm has been in the Bott family since 1994. The farming enterprise was established by Ronald with his parents Dene and Thelma Bott in 2004, who provided the seed of inspiration, opportunity and encouragement that developed an idea into an enduring family business.

Growing from humble beginnings, which originally focused on producing meat and crop for our own consumption. The farm is currently being run by Ron Bott (2nd generation) in partnership with Paul and Bek Bott, who are the 3rd generation in the family to care for the property. Paul and Bek have a young family (3 munchkins Thomas, Pippa and Benjamin) – they are the 4th generation and are in training!


We pride ourselves on a personable, honest, friendly, consistent and reliable delivery of quality produce. Market and Farm-gate sales to the public are available – every customer big or small is important to us! You will see us at the Kingscote Farmer’s Market every 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

Contact us to discuss your fresh meat needs and requirements. We can provide you with a suckling pig or lamb (perfect for a spit), 15 to 20kg sides of pork or lamb – cut to your requirements. Naturally whole pigs up to 60kg are available which provide a full range of pork produce.
